Day 52

We put some more rafter. Adjust them little by little to make it fit to south ridge beam. After we struggled for a while, and finally it looking good now. Scab with 2x6 flush to the bottom, So the edge doesn't on the way. Since we figured out how to lay the ladder on rafter, the open space wasn't so difficult.

Although this is very difficult! After we finished the rafter until west gable starts, started working on valley beam that goes from south west corner to the corner of jail to the ridge beam. One person lay on the floor and eye sight a thread we use from south west corner to the beam and the bird's mouth. We use 2x8 here and cut it 45 angle as always. Wait a minute! It doesn't look right....
At the lunch break, Bob the math teacher figured out the angle that needs to cut with trigonometry. It should be about 55 angle. This is how you use mathematics in your actual life. Looks right.
