Autumn / Winter Art Farm class schedule



Nice Autumn weather make it easier to focus. Art Farm is a good place for kids and adults to be creative. We’ve planned some seasonal theme workshops, along with repeat classes. Please check them out! Do you have something else you would like to make? Our “One day handbuilding class” is open for you! No experience necessary. 





 One day group handbuilding classes 



You can make a unique handmade gift for somebody special that you would never be able to buy in the store. You can use your very own tableware for a get together. You can decorate your house with an art piece you made. It’s not only what you make that is special, but the experience itself will be priceless! A great activity for family and friends. There is no theme, just bring your ideas! 

Monday-Friday 9:30-11:30, 1:00- 3:00, 3:30-5:30 
Saturday 1:00-3:00

Minimum 2 people, 6 people maximum $25 per person
2lbs of clay, glaze, firing fee included $10 for each additional 2 lbs of clay 

Please send me (Momoko Cotter) an email to register including your name and two choices of what date and time you would like. I will let you know if your requested time is open or occupied, and get back to you as soon as possible with more information. 


Handbuilding Workshop
Sep. 24th ~ Dec. 31st/ 2016    

We also offer workshops! But don’t wait, the table is 6 people maximum!
Workshops will run if 2 or more people sign up. All classes are $25 person and include 2lbs of clay, glaze, and firing fee unless it’s listed. +$10 for additional 2 lbs of clay.

✿ Ceramic Jack-O-Lantern
Let’s make a funny, scary, special Jack-O-Lantern and get ready for Halloween! Strong for a candle, cute for candies. And it doesn’t get smelly. You need to show this every year!

✿ Mug
Do you like hot coffee, hot cocoa and hot soup? This class is for you! Let’s make an original mug that fits well in your hand. Make sure this class is on Sunday instead of Saturday.

Are you ready for the knitting season? Of course you can use it any time!

✿ Hanging planter
You couldn’t take the last one? It’s for you! We need to get ready to bring greens inside before we’re stuck for the winter. We will make planters that hang from strings.

Let’s decorate your Christmas tree this year with some lovely ornaments you made.

✿ Birds feeder
Starting to hear winter’s foot step. There will be no berries for birds soon. We will make a hanging bird feeder, and feed them in your back yard.

Get cozy in the house with candle light. Your hand made candle holder will make an even richer atmposphere for your intimate gathering. If you have a fear of flame, no worries, there are things called flameless candles.

You can make a special plates for your Christmas dinner this year with your initials on it (for example). If you want to make sets, you can buy extra clay.

Summer 2016 Art Farm class schedule

Art Farm is back from break!  We are ready to assist your creative needs.  We have some classes for boys and girls who are out of school to enjoy!  Also another Japanese food and tableware class.  Please check them out!  Do you have something else you would like to make?  Our "One day hand building class" is open for you!

  Every garden needs a house for their fairy to live in while she works her magic. Create a clay home with the slab building method.

Looking for something special to do for summer break? Your own robot head could be a treasure box, a small cookie jar, a box to organize your desk. Of course adults can enjoy this class, too!

✿ Fuurin (Wind chime)
This was one of our most popular classes last year. The Japanese hang wind chime called Fuurin in summer. Delightful sound played by the wind is soothing during a hot season.

This berry bowl is not just a utensil to wash fruit, it will also be a pretty ceramic serving colander to go directly on the table.

✿ Buttons
Knitter, sewing lovers, collectors, etc., this class is for you! We will carve a small plaster board to make molds. You can use them to decorate your hat, dress, bag. You can make hair ties, pendant, earrings.

Two day workshop
✿ Japanese food and tableware (Somen noodle set)

Are you interested in adding a new repertoire recipe? How about Japanese food? We will have Somen (cold dip noodle)!
Day 1: We will make Sobachoko (dip bowl), Yakumi-ire (Small plate for ginger and toppings), Yunomi (cup for tea), and chopsticks holder. I will finish firing pieces by Day 2.
Day 2: Cooking day. We will cook Somen together, and eat with our own tablewares we make! Make sure you have both days available.


$45 person for two days include 2lbs of clay, and cooking ingredients. 4 people maximum
