Day 114

First thing in the morning, we did facia board on north side. This will be the last thing we need to do on this side. We used vinyl for siding and soffit. However since this is the place gets lots of sunshine, we used aluminum for our facia board. So it doesn't get warp from heat. Our neighbor is so curious, secretly checking us from not too far, not too close.

今日朝一でしたことは鼻隠しの板の上にもう一層板を貼ること。これがこの北側での最後の作業になる。サイディングと軒板はプラスチックを使ったが、鼻隠しの板は一番直射日光のあたるところなので、熱で変形しないアルミ板を使うことにした。ご近所さんが興味津々で微妙な一から盗み見してる。
After we finished north side, we moved to south side. Last time we couldn't reach this top from ladder. So today we parked the pick up, and set the ladder on it. It was tensed moment. But we did it! So we complete north and south gable today!

北側の次はまたもや南側に移動、ついに完成させると意気込む。前回ははしごが一番上まで届かなかった。今日はトラックを下に駐車して、その荷台にはしごをセットする。なかなか緊張した時間だったが、完成！
Also finally, we unloaded our clawfoot tub we got the other day. We found very good deal on craigslist. The person who owned this used only for decoration for a showroom. So it's pretty much new! I wish if we have something like craigslist in Japan. Actually we have, but it's not common for Japanese. The only problem was that we had to drove down to Overland park Kansas city about one and half hour to pick this up. However it was end up good trip. I found very good Asian market in overland park. It was much much better than where I often go.

もう一つ、ついに足付きタブを家の中に運んだ。クレッグストリストといういらなくなったものやり取りなど、何から何までいろいろな情報の載っているウェブサイトでかなり安くで見つけたもの。前の持ち主はショールームの飾りとして使っていただけで、新品同様。日本でもこんなサイトがうまく動いてくれてたらいいのに。ま、欠点としてはカンザスシティーのオーバーランドパークというところまでトラックを運転して一時間半ほどかけて取りにいかなければいけなかったこと。でもそれも今まで行っていたアジアンマーケットよりもずっといいところを行く道で見つけたのでほくほく帰って来れました。
