Day 41

We thought today would be very easy & fast. But not so much... Better than yesterday, though. We have a patio door, peak, and pocket for a ridge beam here in the middle. We will get 2x8 for this ridge beam. We assemblage 3 2x6 to make this 7 1/4" hight pocket. Of course we mistook measurement once, and then again when we attach header. But after several mistake, we figured out. This middle part is very high and heavy. It is top very heavy and bottom light. We temporally nailed 2 scrap board. So we don't slide this wall out.

今日は簡単にできてすぐ終わると思ってたのに甘かった。昨日よりはましだけど。。。この真ん中部分にはパティオドア、頂点、棟木をはめるためのポケットを作らなければならない。棟木には２x８を使うので２x６を３本組み合わせ、７１／４インチのポケットを作る。いつも通り、測り間違えて切り直し。ドア用のヘッダー部分も間違えて時間を取られる。ま、その後なんとかうまく組めた。この真ん中部分は高くて重い。しかも全体に重いわけではなく、上が重く下が軽いアンバランス。簡易にスクラップを床に打ち付け壁を立てるときに滑り落ちないようにする。
When we scab this two section together we found out a thing we didn't want to know... This house always give us a hard time... This center part is twisted. Since the place we need to scab is pretty high, the person who nail can't really control. We pushed west side, and when the one corner meet we scabbed it. We went to check how that looks from east side. Then upset! It is bending in the middle. It doesn't look good at all.

... maybe elf will fix this tonight for us. Let's call it a day...

Don't know what to do. just gave us an exhausted feeling in the end.

Maybe it happened because we teased a snapping turtle first thing in the morning. Sorry.

この東側と真ん中を固定するときに気付きたくもないことに気付いてしまった。悩ませてくれるね〜。この真ん中部分がなぜかしらねじれていて、うまく合わない。二つが合わさるところはあまりに高くて、はしごにのってくぎを打つ人はほとんど押したり引いたりする余裕なし。西側を押してとりあえず一カ所が合ったところで固定。東側から見てみると、なんてこつ！真ん中で曲がっててあかんやろ。いー。

エルフが夜中に直してくれることを願って今日は終わりにしよう。

どうしたものか。疲れだけを残してくれるね。

きっと朝一番でスナッピングガメ（スップンみたいな噛んだら放さない亀）をおちょくったからか。ごめんよ。
