Day 19

We got a wall up! After we built the wall yesterday, we tried to pick it up by us 3. It was heavy... So we asked some help. Thank you for coming Dick, Zach, and Marilyn. It was light for 6 of us. But from next walls we will just put them up separate. Well, we are learning. After everybody left we kept working for second wall which is our east wall. Dick is a architect who checked our plan first for us. He came back in the afternoon with bunch of calculation, and told us don't do a big party here. His calculation told the beam might be little bit weak, since we changed the plan from metal I beam to wood. I lost my voice for a second. But he also brought us a easy solution too. Phew~. So what we need to do is just put more 2x10 on both side of beam. Since we want to invite you all here, we will fix it.

一つ目の壁が立ち上がりました！昨日壁を作って試しに持ち上げようとしたものの、重い。３人では無理だと今日は朝っぱらから助っ人の到着を待つ。ディック、ザック、マリリンありがとう。６人だとひょいでした。でもこれで学んだので次からは一つの壁をいくつかに分けて作ります。ディックは私たちのプランを最初にチェックしてくれた建築家です。最初予定してた鉄のビームが手に入らなかったため、結局木のビームに変えたのですが、問題があると午後になりいろいろとビームにかかる重量を計算した紙を持ってきてここでパーティーはしたらあかんと。あぜん。でもそれと一緒に簡単に直せる方法も教えてくれた。ほっ。ビームの両側に２x１０をもう一層ずつつけるだけで解決。みんなをここに呼びたいので補強しときます。
