Day 116

While Bob is here, I asked him to hold my ladder, and climbed up on the roof. Now I actually feel how steep this 12/12 pitch is. Actually, I couldn't let my legs up from tip of ladder. Well, I wanted to do better job, but I guess it doesn't look terrible from the ground... I couldn't reach last part of soffit, and tip of facia board from here. Well, some other time... Then, switch our mind, and worked on porch stairs! We used the board we cut for the inside stairs, but didn't use because it warped. We scabbed the last step, and it fits perfect here. This board is not treated, so it's just temporally. But hoping to use this until next summer....

ボブがいるうちに，まずポーチの屋根の続きをする。はしごを押さえてもらって，屋根の上に体を押し上げる。ここにきてこの４５度の屋根がどれほど急か身にしみて体感。実際，ビビってはしごから足をはなせず。ということで，もうちょっといい仕事をするはずやったけど、えいっとやってしまった。ま、地面から見るとそこまで悪くはないからいいか。結局完成させるはずだったけど，軒板の一番上と鼻隠しの板の先はここからでは無理と断念。また次の機会に。。。その後気持ちを切り替えてポーチの階段を作る。一階の階段用に切ったものの、曲がっているので使わなかった板を半分に切って，ほんの少しつなげてちょうど良いと，それを使うことに。この板は室内用なので外用に加工はされてないのでずっと使うつもりはないが，次の夏までは使えるだろうとの予想。
These day in the afternoon, I have been working on making ladder(blocking?) on caller ties where walls come, and wherever the place that need for sheetrock.

ここのところ、午後は２階の天井の壁がくるところや，内装の壁をつけてもらうときにねじ止め用に必要なところなどに短い板をはしご状につけていく作業をしている。
